As a recently married gal I know what it’s like to organise a wedding – i.e. not easy!!! I’ve also shot hundreds of weddings. I love offering advice to my couples and have a wealth of info and contacts to help you along. As someone who’s been through it recently, I love to connect with my couples, sharing advice and info as well as hearing all about your story and plans, sharing your excitement in the run-up to the day!
The devil, as they say, is in the detail. As a woman, I can truly appreciate the thought and effort that goes into the details of the wedding – the flowers, the shoes, the dress. Placement of jewellery, make-up and the arrangement of the wedding gown can make a stunning bride look even more dazzling. On the morning of a wedding when the bride is busy preparing I am just ”one of the girls”, I can be in the thick of things, capturing those natural moments as they unfold.
It’s also the smallest of things, from noticing a strap hanging out where it shouldn’t be to having an emergency kit full of hairspray, hairclips and pins constantly at the ready.
Your day your way…
My shooting style is always very relaxed, fun and as unobtrusive as possible. I like to capture things as they happen; documenting as much as possible, without interfering. I love to hear your story and get absorbed in the personality of your wedding and will be there both as a professional but also as a friend.
I can take formal family shots and give some gentle direction during portraits, should you need it, but ultimately I like to keep things as natural as possible. To get a better idea of my shooting style, check out some real weddings and couple shoots on my blog.
